A brief section on Bob Mackie QVC jewelry has been added to Chapter Three of Collecting Costume Jewelry 404. His jewelry designs are original and very “Bob Mackie” in style. The carousel horse pins are my personal favorites. I selected a black and pink horse for my collection because I love those colors together and plan to wear them as a pair.
Nolan Miller is the next designer to be added to this Chapter including a brief history, brand traits, and a selection of jewelry designs with information and details of each piece. Some of his QVC appearances are still available on the internet. Did you know he often brought beautiful Nolan Miller gowns to the studio for the models to wear when showcasing his jewelry from his Glamour Collection?
Nolan Miller jewelry is often inspired by classic collectible jewelry from some of the top vintage costume jewelry designers. It is also beautifully made. Can you identify the famous vintage designer that inspired this Nolan Miller Morning Glory pin?
Fall provides more jewelry wearing opportunities. Today I dressed all in navy blue. Then I selected a long amethyst and green rhinestone necklace and comfortable light amethyst earrings. A long, light amethyst cardigan sweater completed the look. I love the combination of navy, green, and amethyst. Purple and green are secondary colors made with blue so the trio of colors – in the proper shades – work well together. They are also all cool colors and perfect for a crisp day.
Happy Collecting,
Julie
