ART Jewelry has been added to Chapter Two: Part II of Collecting Costume Jewelry 404. Part I features brands that started prior to WWII. Part II features brands that started after WWII.
More brands will be added to Part II in the next few weeks. A brief history of each brand is given…very brief. The focus of Part II is to practice recognizing the six basic elements of design – Shape, Color, Line, Contrast, Visual Weight, and Balance – in a variety of jewelry designs by well-known brands.
ART jewelry is starting to rise in value as more collectors discover ART’s beautiful designs. Two of my favorite ART designs are shown below. How many basic design elements can you “see” in these pieces?
