Good morning,
I recently returned from a short trip to Delaware to visit family and friends. It was lovely seeing everyone, but it is good to be back home in North Carolina. The trip reminded me of one of our first visits to North Carolina prior to making the choice to relocate here. We drove to New Bern for a nice lunch and to visit the shops. There, in a small gift shop, I found a display of LIZTECH jewelry. This was in 2018. The salesperson explained that the hand-crafted jewelry was no longer made, so they purchased a larger than usual inventory of the beautiful designs, filling the display case with unique, well-crafted pieces.
I knew immediately, from the quality of the jewelry, I was going to buy a piece. It was difficult to decide from so many choices! Finally, I selected the LIZTECH Christmas tree pin shown below as my souvenir.
LIZTECH jewelry was founded in the mid to late 1980s by artist Jill Elizabeth and her husband. Their workshop was located at 95 Crystal St., Stroudsburg, PA where Jill and a team of artisans produced hand-made jewelry. LIZTECH jewelry consists of a reflective laminate material, cut into shapes and adorned with vintage materials from the 1930s – 1960s. At one time the top of the shop housed 8000 lbs. of vintage parts!
Note: This information is from my notes stored with the pin. The original source was likely an earlier version of the LIZTECH website.
The back view of my tree illustrates the way the vintage elements were carefully, securely, and neatly attached to the unique backing.
The tree measures 2 3/4″. It is signed with the LIZTECH hang-tag and hand-signed with the date.

FYI, I paid $75.00 retail for this pin in 2018. LIZTECH designs remain available online in the secondary market. Today, when I checked the “sold” values, I did not see a tree, so I do not know its current value. To me it is a memory – and priceless.
Jill Elizabeth remains active in the art world. She has a website at www.liztech.com. There she posts information on her continuing artistic endeavors including classes and workshops.
Happy Collecting,
Love, Julie
