Yesterday I finished the unit on REGENCY JEWELS. It can be found in Chapter Two of Collecting Costume Jewelry 404 (available from the red ribbon or by clicking on the cover of the book).
REGENCY JEWELS designs are sometimes mistaken for Schreiner and Weiss designs. Many sets feature high-end Austrian crystals and art glass stones. The construction techniques used by each brand are also similar, possibly due to the strong influence of Austria.
REGENCY produced full sets including necklace and bracelet sets, as well as pin and earring sets. The pin and earrings set above is a monochromatic, asymmetrical design featuring wire-over flowers and high-end rhinestones all set in black metal. It is one of the first REGENCY sets I purchased and remains one of my favorites today.
