Jan Michaels Jewelry

For the last 40 years Jan Michaels has created jewelry designs from vintage stampings, chains, antique beads, semi-precious stones and other findings.

I created eclectic vintage and antiquity inspired fashion jewelry worn by women and some men across the globe.

Today she is no longer making her wonderful jewelry to have time to pursue other artistic interests. However, her past designs are available online.

I was fortunate a few years ago to acquire a Jan Michaels art nouveau necklace and bracelet set made from vintage brass stampings.

The bracelet measures 7 1/4″. The stamped brass center design is 3″. The pendant is 2 3/4″ including the bale.

The pendant is a slide that freely moves along the 19″ round, mesh chain.
Note the detailed construction. The tail decoration matches the chain. The necklace is signed with a rectangular cartouche.

Jan Michels jewelry is beautifully made artisan jewelry.

I hope to show more artisan jewelry in coming weeks.

Happy Collecting!

Love,

Julie

  1. Hello,
I recently started collecting and selling costume jewelry. I’ve come across several websites that recommend your books; unfortunately, the prices at Amazon are outrageous. I would hope that you might consider another (small?) publication of your first three books. Thank you for the blog and looking forward to your future posts.

    • Good morning,
Thank you for your interest in my books and this website. Right now, all of my energies are going into finishing CCJ404 and adding content to the website. I have no immediate plans to do anything with the first three books. CCJ101 and CCJ202 enjoyed several printings, so hopefully an affordable copy will surface. There are fewer copies of CCJ303 because there was only one printing. Much of the jewelry from all three books is shown in CCJ404 for free on this website. I’m adding new entries as time permits.

Good luck with your collection, I’m delighted to hear from a new collector. You are my audience, and your comment has given me a great deal of joy.

      Happy Collecting,
      Love,
      Julie
